FIGHT Esports Takes on Official Media Partner Role in Support of Piala Presiden Esports (PPE) 2022 

FIGHT Esports takes on an official media partner role for Piala Presiden Esports (PPE) 2022 in Indonesia.  

Themed “Beyonderfull”, PPE 2022 kicked off on August 10, 2022, aiming to see 150,000 esports athletes from all over Indonesia compete in tournaments of popular mobile games, for trophies and prizes of IDR 1.8 billion, as well as the opportunity to represent Indonesia in international competitions. 

Chief of the President Staff of the Republic of Indonesia, Jend. TNI (Purn) Moeldoko, in a press conference held on August 4, 2022, conveyed that the government hosting PPE for the fourth time is testament that Indonesian esports talents are ready to compete on the world stage and obtain even higher achievements.  

“Indonesia’s potential, including the ecosystem, industry, and players, is being noticed by many esports advocates from the regional and international levels. The President fully supports Piala Presiden Esports 2022, which soon will kick off as a place to find, polish, and encourage local talents to compete on the world stage. We hope that Indonesia can dominate the esports world scene with achievements,” said Moeldoko. 

The athletes will be competing in a number of games, such as Lokapala, Battle of Satria Dewa, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang,  Free Fire, and one local game from the submission system. As one of the biggest esports tournament in Indonesia, the cross-sectoral collaborations between government, private institutions, and gaming partners are crucial in ensuring PPE 2022’s success.  

“We believe that with the collaborative work across sectors and stakeholders, Indonesia will be able to host a world-class esports tournament. PPE 2022 is designed for the country, to empower and celebrate our young talents to be the best and make the country proud. As a national esports event, we hope that the Piala Presiden Esports can contribute to the growth of esports talents in the country,” said Rangga Danu Prasetyo, Head of the 2022 Piala Presiden Esports Organizing Committee.

Cross-sectoral collaboration that supports the event is proof that the Piala Presiden Esports 2022 is an effort by the Indonesian government to strengthen the Indonesian sports ecosystem, especially esports. 

“This year’s PPE brings together professional and amateur athletes to compete at the national level so that they are motivated to improve their abilities to fight for the title as well as the opportunity to take part in the IESF World Esports Championship 2022 in December,” said Bambang.
