Following the success of FIGHT Campus Legend (FCL) Season 1 a year ago, FIGHT Esports and TikTok are re-collaborating for FCL Season 2 this year, from now until November 2022.

FCL is a Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) tournament held to empower amateur gamers from universities all over Indonesia to compete in a professional-level event, in hopes to encourage a healthy, well-balanced esports culture in the country.

Previously, FIGHT Esports successfully earned three national and international awards for FCL Season 1. In 2021, FCL was the Bronze Winner for the Best Consumer Event – Esports category at the Marketing Event Awards awarded by Marketing-Interactive Magazine. This year, FCL won the Gold Award for Marketing PR category at PR INDONESIA Awards (PRIA) 2022 and the PR of The Year for Marketing PR program awarded by MIX Magazine under the SWA Media Group.

Arya Jamil, Senior Marketing & Business Development Executive at FIGHT Esports, said, “FCL Season 1’s success was possible because of the support given by FCL partners. For instance, TikTok’s livestreaming and marketing tools played a huge part last year. This year, TikTok is back to support FCL Season 2 with an exclusive tournament showing live on TikTok, with amplified quality.”

“We really appreciate the support from TikTok for FCL. Our award-winning event was successfully hosted with the support from all the partners, including Moonton, Wallet Codes, and Asosiasi Video Game Indonesia (AVGI),” added Arya.

As reported by Hybrid, Mobile Legend: Bang Bang tournaments in Indonesia reached 43.9 million watched hours, making Indonesia the undisputed leader in Southeast Asia for MLBB enthusiasm. Esports Chart also notes that MLBB is the most popular game in Indonesia. The euphoria surrounding esports, especially MLBB in Indonesia, goes hand in hand with the efforts of FIGHT and TikTok to create a platform for gamers to compete professionally.

This year, FCL Season 2 will target 512 teams and 2,560 students to participate in the tournament. Besides an MLBB tournament, FIGHT and TikTok will also hold a campaign that challenges youth to create creative esports content with IDR 20 million prize pool. The campaign will be held along the main tournament.
